In this 8-step guide, we'll uncover the essential tools and techniques to master clean nail prep like a pro.
1. Let's grab our Tribe Pro tools: Before we begin, ensure you have everything you need and the necessary tools to hand. These may include;
- Nail clippers
- Nail scissors
- Cuticle Pusher
- Cuticle Nipper
- Curette
- Nail file
- Nail buffer
- Dusting brush
- Sanitiser
- Lint-free cotton pad
2. Trim and Shape: Begin by trimming your nails to the desired length using either the Tribe Nail Scissors or Nail Clipper. Then, use a nail file to shape your nails to the desired shape, choose from a soft square, round, or almond. Opt for a file with a fine grit to avoid causing damage to the nail plate.
3. Push back the cuticle; Dry manicures last longer and just like hair your nails are susceptible to damage when manicuring them when wet. Use a gentle action to push back the cuticles, the Tribe Contoured Cuticle Tool fits snugly into the cuticle area at the base of the nail creating an elongated nail plate. be careful not to push too hard to avoid causing damage or pain.
4. Lift off the cuticle from the nail plate; Lifting the cuticle off the nail bed with the Tribe Dual Cuticle Pusher will ensure a smooth comfortable treatment in preparation for e-file use and when nipping the cuticle to trim.
